Hannah Wong, A.R.C.T. Teacher, B.Sc. U.B.C., R.M.T., is pleased to join the teaching staff of Upbeat Piano Studio, having moved recently from Vancouver, B.C. where she taught piano and music rudiments to students from 2005 to 2013 at Staccato Studios and also independently. She speaks English and conversational Cantonese. She received her A.R.C.T. Teacher’s diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2010.
In Vancouver, she studied with Frank Lacey and Edward J. Parker, A.R.C.T. Solo Performer and Teacher, M. Music, University of Washington, adjudicator, recitalist and author of the book “Piano Pedagogy: A Practical Approach”.
She was Treasurer of the Vancouver Chapter of the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities from January 2012 to June 2013. Her other interests include drawing, painting, world travel, piano tuning and repairs.
Hannah has traditionally organized two recitals per year for her own students and she appreciates the variety of performance opportunities that are offered to the students of Upbeat Piano Studio. It is a great privilege to have her sharing her knowledge with our students.
